It was a good lookin fish but hes a lil bigger then wh t I normally keep so I ran up to the bait shop real quick had him in a bucket of water, got a polaroid since I forgot my digital and let him go back at the inlet maybe ill get lucky and get him again during the spawn, so now ill need to take a pic of the polaroid with the digital to put it on the site, lol.

Still need to load a couple of my other pictures too.

Well over the weekend we got another foot and a half of snow so the spawn is gonna be delayed atleast another week now, on top of the 3 weeks I had originally guessed. Water temp went from 42* down to 34*  over 4 days, so yeah the spawn is gonna be slowed up again.

Tried to get a water temp this weekend but my temp probe kept getting stopped by the ice. I think NE Il has a ways to go!

I heard today that the 'Eyes are stacking up below our local dam. Hope to get up there soon and put a few eaters on my stringer. We have a slot limit of 14-18 inches, and can keep one over 24". I'm ok with this, it keeps the population up, and being in suburban Chicago, the pressure is incredible. I think the rec. traffic on the chain tends to help the fish population. It is VERY difficult to fish the Fox Chain on weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Sometimes the river and lakes are so riled Mon. and Tues are unfishable also.

    Tight lines

Tom, do they stack them Walleye by size, weight, or sex? Or do they just stack them all together so you can just reach into the grab bag?
