    Does anyone from this area have any suggestions on what lures to use for night walleye, i recently went and used a popper but didn't have much luck, the fish were all around and herring was breaking the surface. thanks

    Mikepet,

    Try using a Rapala sallow diving Husky Jerk off trolling boards. These are good for casting or trolling.  This year I have had good luck trolling 3’ and 6’harnesses with meat.  I rig the 6’ with 1oz inline weight off trolling boards and the 6’ on Dipsy Divers.  

    As far as boards are concerned I like small boards my favorite is Church Tackle Walleye Boards. The trip mechanism works well and is adjustable.
