Hello. Just getting ready
for the spring and wanted to share with you. I had some fun tying 50 new
harnesses. I cleaned, lubed, and reversed the line on my trolling reels and
added 2 more. I also cleaned, lubed, and put new line on my walleye reels. Got
about 15 more reels to do should keep me out of my wife’s hair. |

Those spinner rigs you have there look like they would work nicely for ice-out lakers while you're waiting for walleye's to open |

Lakes are still frozen here in N.E.Pa, but the rivers are open and they are catching some nice eyes. I'm still targeting panfish thru the ice. Those harnesses look pretty good. I will be tying mine once the ice is unsafe and i get all the ice fishing equipment cleaned-up and put away.. Good luck.

An absolute excellent board of 'eyes but I sure wouldn't want to be sledding on that Lake . Way too many drifts and buckled ice for my liking. Thanks for sharing the pics! |

I'm doing my tackle testing now even though there pobably isnt a walleye within 600 miles, but the water isn't frozen either. Tom Fishin' fool in NE Illinois |

Walleye Wayne,
We use four wheelers out there it’s not bad at all. Those pictures were the extreme.
Pegsguy,
Don’t give up there is a straggler out there with your name
on it. Good luck and tell us about the tackle. I will check this post later. |

I'm sure there is a fish with my name on it here but I fear I will run out of time on the water. Expected more weeds and brought all the wrong rods and of course not a weed in sight. Could have left the frogs home also. Tom Fishin' fool in NE Illinois |

Here in Illinois we have many problems, but closed seasons are not one of them. Aside for a few areas that are c&r for smallmouth the only other closure we have is a 2 week period when all the put and take trout lakes are closed to all fishing prior to the trout opening.
