Two men have been convicted of poaching steelhead trout after they decided to post a video of their illegal activities on the popular YouTube Web site. The video's here: youtube.com.

I can only hope that if there is an after life these idiots come back as a poached steelhead.I hope these people do not refer to themselves as spotsmen.No fine is large enough. |

These two guys who think they are hot shots, obviously have zero respect for the earth God has created. As I always say, what comes around goes around, and they will pay the price in many ways!
Large bluegill never leave me, from day to night to sleep. My ultralight gear puts up quite a fight, So when I catch a big 'gill, I think a fish of might, And put him in my hand to know he's a heap.

Not only were they void of brains they showed no respect for life in the way they treated the fish when they did net them. I say prosecute them to the fullest!

All I can say is Glad they were caught.!!!!They should spend some time in Jail to go along with that Fine,Hope it was a big one.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put em against a wall and shoot em. Naw, give them 18 months each cleaning fish at a fish cannery seven days a week with dull knives, then shoot em.....

In my opinion there is nothing worse in the sportmans world than poaching! If you cant catch a fish legally you shouldnt be on the water! Those idiots are a perfect example of whats wrong with the world today.I only hope they got fined severely for being so selfish and stupid! |

I actually feel sorry for them. Seem like a couple of city folks who never got to enjoy the outdoors and probably never experienced the real "outdoors".
That is the way many small children act when they first get out. Maybe the just didn't know any better.
Then again, they might just be Major League Idiots who thought they'd sacrifice some fish to make a "hilarious" home video.
They should have been sentenced to spend a weekend working at at a youth Trout Rodeo and see how excited kids get when they catch a fish the proper way.

I agree completely with Dave G. Poachers are the ones who give us fishermen (& hunters, too) a bad name. I can only praise & thank the living God that these yahoos were moronic enough to tape themselves doing this... providing the evidence against them themselves! At least they couldn't lie their way out of it. I hereby encourage all poachers... & other lawbreakers... to do the same... film yourselves doing your criminal exploits... & ease the burden on our criminal justice system. |
