Yeah the contests are legititimate. What isnt is the way people vote on the best photot for thecatch and release  contests that is fixed to the highest degree It is a a joke!!.

My name is J.R. Green. I have been a life member since 2001. I have never won anything from the contest, that makes me think somthing isn't right. They say you can enter everyday to win,but who can do that. I think it should be like every other contest, you enter once a month,and best of luck to you. Back when I became a life member, I got all kinds of cool stuff, and now its like I don't even exist. I sent them a harsh e-mail a couple weeks ago concerning how unhappy I was with the club, & how come I never get anything good to field test. I told them it had been 3yrs since I had received anything to test. All they said was that we're sorry,& they have to wait till somthing came up that match my profile. I told them that was a crock. I'm a guy any kind of fishing rod, or good tackle would be fine. I told them as long as I have been a member that I deserved somthing good, not like in years past testing boat wash, lures,or fishing line, that I have never seen in the stores were I live. If youu will pay attention when the books come, you'll see that someone tested a boat motor, fine fishing tackle, GPS's and a lot more. Every thing that I have ever tested has never made it to the books. So if your up in the air about becoming a life member, just remember this, in the beginning its grand all kinds of stuff to test & keep, but after you get some age on you like me, all they do is PISS YOU OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL I am a LIFE Memeber, won several tournaments, was in the magazine so many times I can't count, had articles printed in NAFC, contributed to the series of hardback books, was inducted into the NAFC Hall Of Fame until it disappeared, and all i have ever been sent was some line. I applied numerous times for field testing and got nothing! Now, to field test better products you have to be a "Trophy" life member. I don't want anything because I don't need it, but if you all posted as much on my site as you do here, you would get more than the NAFC gives you and I dont charge any dues. LOL Just a thought.

being a trophy member does not get you good things to test. ihave been a life member since 1996. and got hooks and bug wipes and a lore that broke the first time i used it i have paid half of the trophy dues but will not pay the rest its just another way too get my money yhat i can use for a new pole or motor work done.i did get a pair of pliers that i could have got at dicks for 9.95 not 125.00.

They say they will refund the money we shall see!
