Lately I've been having trouble keeping smaller fish off my bait long enough for the carp to notice it. It seems like every cast small shiners, chubs, catfish, bluegill and perch start nibbling at the bait as soon as it hits bottom. I still catch carp but If I could find a way (or bait) that the smaller fish wouldn't bother I would have a more enjoyable time. Any tips or baits would be greatly appreciated.-Brian
P.S. I usually use prepared cheese baits, corn and chunks of swiss cheese, all of these baits are being harassed by the little uns'
Honestly I'd go with a bigger bait. here's somthing that has worked for me.....
When I start getting pan fish , catfish and what not feeding on my bait ( see the other thread you started about chumming ) I run a 10 mm to 18 mm Boilie. Boilies are Little "boiled Dough balls" that can be easly made at home with one of the various recipes or purchased from various American Vendors.

Course I am very Partical when purchasing My carp fishing gear To Resistance Tackle. Andy Phinn Runs a top knotch buisness and get's 99% of my buisness.

Hope this helps.
