Carp?

    Well I went fishing at a local pond a noticed a bunch of bass and bluegills and whatever else.. but about a foot away from then was a  HUGE! carp. I'm guessing 10 pounds. It was probably as big as my thigh. I really want to catch that thing. Problem is I'm not sure what type of carp it is and what to use for it..

     

    It looked like a goldfish x100.. lol

     

    Any help?

    I'm sure this forums gets plenty of these questions but I had to ask for myself.

     

    I have no boat and the area is very weedy.

    you might try a night crawler or take bread and tightly ball it on a hook and throw it out with other peices of balled up bread for chum

    Canned corn does a great job. You can throw some out and go back later and put some on a hook and they will go after it. The doughball mixed with strawberry or sugary soda does good also.
