Hi,

I am looking to purchase a relativly inexpensive boat for lake fishing with my young Son.  I am leaning toward a canoe because it seems better than a row boat.  Does anyone have any information and/or opinions regarding CastleCraft canoes?  I am considering the sportspal wide transom model so I can attach a trolling motor.  Their stability claims intrigue me considering I will have a young, active child in the boat and he doesn't sit still for long.

Any input you can provide is greatly appreciated.
