I am thinking of about buying, actually how to talk my wife into letting me buy, and Olt Town Preditor canoe.  Does anyone own one.  My dad has several canoes and has a little one man and I just like being in the boat by myself others in their own boat around.  Just wondering if the Preditor is as functional as it looks.

I just recently purchased the Dicks Field and Stream 12'  Solo Canoe ( Old Town Pack Angler Canoe) and I love it.  I find it was well worth the dollars spent. Very stable and excellent for fishing. I seem to grab the canoe over the kayak and my 14' V Hull.  I have decided that the Canoe and Kayak is the way to go. Good Luck on your decision.

I just purchased a 14' Old Town Rogue River that I take my 9 year old Son fishing in.  We have had a blast.  The canoe came in handy when those casts got too close to the hanging branches.  I looked at the predator but went with the less expensive option.  If the predator outperforms the Rogue River - as the price suggests it should - you will not be sorry with the purchase.

    Good luck convincing the wife!

This is my second season with my Predator K11. I never knew how many places I can fish that the Bass Boat guys can't.

Living in Vermont, I have many Creeks, lakes, and pond to choose from, I even take it out on Lake Champlain.

I'm an avid bass fisherman, and my Predator gets me to them. Setbacks, and Heavy mats where the Big boats don't bother to go.

To date I've caught over 3oo largemouth including several 6 pounders and over 400 smallies from my Kayak. For Comfort, and agility the Preditor is the best

I too have purchased the single man canoe with the Field and Stream name from Dicks Sporting Goods here in Ohio.  It is called the Kay-Noe, and it is made by Old Towne.  The model is the Pack 160. I called Old Towne to find out.  It's on sale at Dick's Sporting Goods, don't know where you are but it is on sale and I absoultly love it, very easy to manuver and tracks really nice. It has a very comfortable seat, I have added some padding to make it even more comfortable for the long rides.  I am a tall and stout guy and it handles well.  One recommendation is that if you purchase this canoe, I would buy kayak paddles instead of a canoe paddle, due to it's short length if you are to use a canoe paddle you will be switching back and forth to try to keep a straight path.  I have found that the kayak paddles are much easier to use and you can control the canoe better and really get up to speed if needed.
