    What's the real difference between a saltwater reel and a freshwater reel? I'm bidding on a reel and the description didn't say it was saltwater, but after I did a little research it is indeed. I'll be using it in fresh a lot more than salt. It shouldn't be that big a deal right?

    salt corrodes fresh water does not !!!!!!  sooooo you can can use a salt water reel in fresh water but not viceversa
