Has no one, even heard of this rod, or seen it or know someone who has? Someone who knows quantum products must have seen or heard something? Oh well, it worth a shot, will keep looking....thanks anyway.

The quantum code line is a good rod/ reel package it will fish good and hold up as long as you do a little maint to it like rinseng it off and cleaning/ lubing it . I started with Quantum Optix series and Anion rods . They were good eguipment but not as smooth as the Energy line. I now have Energy 30 pti and 40pti reels mounted on Hurricane rods and absolutely love the combo. Good luck with your reels.

I've been practicing in the yard, to get used to a baitcaster. The rod is fairly light weight in feel, but seems to have a bit of the bone, so I am looking forward to taking it to the lake very soon. i appreciate your info, I normally use Quantum spinning reels, and have a few other Quantum rods, and love them.

Definitely practice in the yard. I've been using a baitcaster for awhile and I can say when I first started it was not fun picking those things out in the middle of the lake.

And about Quantum, all of there products are pretty good. I have yet to have any problems with my reels. Even the cheaper reels (ones made with graphite) are very good.
