got me some cabelas gift cards for xmas along with 2 shakespeare inspinity reels 5625 model and 5630 model.need to match them up to some rods that i have chosen because they match what i would be able to spend using the gift cards i would like you alls input. i am listing  them  lowest price to highest. please help.

i am looking at light to medium light possibly ultralite.

pflueger razor tip. normally priced closer to the upper end of my price range but on sale for another week

berkely amp, daiwa spinmatic ,cabelas tourney trail, shimano voltaeus , st croix triumph ( not the travel model. ) the price range i am looking at is 30-60 dollars.  please restrict to rods found at cabelas  and in this price range.  i am looking for durability, along with reliance, value and sensitivity. as much as i would love higher priced models such as kistler or loomis  i cannot see spending that kind of coin  any help would be appreciated. the spinning rods i currently own are mainly cabelas guide series, or shakespeare ugly sticks. they are ok but looking for something a little better quality thanks in advance your input is appreciated

In that price range I have yet to find anything better than an Uglistick. I have yet to find a St.Croix under $100 that I like. I have a couple of Tourney Trail rods and have been satisfied with them. Tom

The Pfleuger razor tip is an excellent rod that offers a lot for it's price. I would pick that rod first. I would second the St.Croix Triumph, because it's a tad expensive for the money. I have two Shakespeare Sigma IM7 rods from long ago that has been very good to me. Then I started my first quality rod purchase as a St.Croix Premiere rod and that rod is still my workhorse for most of my fishing. Cabela's Fish Eagle rods are also very good, but I stepped up to the XML rods. Those are knock offs of G.Loomis rods.

Duckman: I tried to find some info on those Inspinity reels, but can't find anything at the usual sources. I am always looking for anything that works better than what I now have. Do you know where they were purchased? Tom

Check into some of the Shimano Clarus or Voltaeus rods. They have some nice lightweight rods which are in your price range with lifetime warranty!

Duckman: I wonder if you can use your gift cards with the $20 off deal that Cabela's is running until the 11th or so. That could give you a bit more leverage. Tom

i went with the pfluerger rod along with 2 9 foot whupping sticks by cabelas for crappie fishing thanks for all the help guys. hey tom i got the reels from overstock bait and yes you can use that $20 coupon also cuz i did. also decided to try to replace the missing parts to my eagle. to go to color is out of my price range right now and the differences between what is avaiable in my price range and what it would cost to fix mine is so small it doesn't justify the extra expense of the new unit.they are no better than what i have.
