I just found a cheapy 5' spinning rod in my basement and decided to hook it up with an equally cheapy spinning reel. I found an Eagle Claw Avenger in Wal-Mart for $13 and thought why not. So far I'm impressed at how the drag works and it fits the rod perfectly. I was wondering if anyone else on the forum has used the same reel and how it performs on the water.

Have never used that reel, but definitely seems like an excellent combo for panfish and trout.
