Are these the hooks the club sent out as a "field test" ? I do a lot of live bait fishing and have switched to circle hooks almost exclusively. Seems I am one of the first freshwater guys to do this, as I have been using them for about 8 years and have taken a lot of flak for using "bent" hooks! Tom

I personally love the easy2hooks. Its really easy to tie them on, even though you don't have to "tie" anything. The only problem is that I got really small sizes, #4 and #12, which is small for crappie and bass fishing. I've been on the easy2hook website and they are going to release easy2hook lures, larger sizes of hooks, and adaptors to put on lures to allow for the easy2hook style "tying" to be used on regular lures.

I'm with you Tom. Circle hooks are the way to go. They provide a sure hookset and are hard to throw.

The hookset or lack thereof takes some getting used to though! Tom

I like the easy2hooks, myself. I can't wait for them to appear on Walmart shelves, in larger sizes than the #4 and #12 hooks that I tested of course.

I tested them as well as I could- kind of cold fishing here in Washington in January. I did find them easy to 'tie' but I recommend using hemostats or something similar to hold the smaller hooks. I wasn't able to test their holding power since you'd need to have a fish bite to do that but, when I pulled on them, they seemed to hold well. Their MSRP seemed a little steep but, I guess they'll go for what they think the market will bear.

Easy2hook has a lot of work to do on their marketing. I checked out the web site(currently the only way to purchase) and found it very hard to navigate and a lot of Not in stock. The way I read their info, we won't be seeing these in Walmart anytime soon, but Dick's BPS, Authority and the like should get them before to long. Tom

I will stay with my circle hooks I can tie a solid knot and not just wrap around the shank.

Yeah I like 'em for catching bluegill for flathead bait. For the flatties I use 8/0   circle hooks, for channels I use 3/0 to 5/0 circle hooks.

I would give them a 9 out of 10 range! I highly recommend them, and I have say the owner of easy2hook thanks and make more different ones. But it needs to lower the price a little!

    I got them as well.
NOT at all impressed. The size they sent was way to small for any real fish.
I took them to a community pond that has bluegill and small catfish, I did OK with the gill however the cat's are still swimming with them...POP!

After I got home and did my review, I seen the link to their website and the video of the lady hooking a fish and the hook coming off (It reminded me of what happened to me),  and the guy offers to put a new one on for her, she puts on a new one so easily.
That's one way to make sure the the ol lady doesn't out fish us guys!
Give them the hooks so we have more fishing time and they cant bring anything in....lol

I think if you use a split-shot or surgical tubing maybe they might be OK...waiting for future generations before I start buying them!!!
