This past year I pulled up two spinnerbaits from the bottom. Different lakes, different days. Luck or not, I've still got them in my tackle for now and getting ready to start getting things cleaned up and organised when the ice breaks. The skirt on one is in bad shape which I know can be replaced, but other than that the only thing really bad about either of them is the hooks are both really rusty from sitting on the bottom of a lake for God knows how long. The hooks are still decent shape and still sharp, just coated in rust.

Spinners don't come cheap I hate to throw them out if they can be used. Question is should I keep them them and put some steal wool to the hooks or just part off the blades and trash them?

Any suggestions for cleaning beat up spinners?

    Thanks

There used to be a product that converted rust, I think it was(is?) called Novarox or something like that. Might be worth a peek at the local Ace Hdw. Tom
