I'm thinking about giving it a try. Naturally, I would like to make an informed purchase. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone has tried it yet.

If so, I have a few questions:

What are some of the pros and cons as compared to other braided lines?

Is it as durable as other braided lines?

Is it more durable than mono or flourocarbon lines of the same weight?

Is it softer than other braided lines?

    Does it have low memory?

How much does it stretch on hook set?

Does it cast smoother than other braided lines?

How sensitive is it as compared to other braided/mono/flourocarbon lines?

Would you consider it as good or better than Vanish as far as the insibility factor goes?

Any help will be greatly appreciated as always.

Ben: I haven't tried it yet, but it looks to be similar to Fireline Crystal. I like the Crystal once it's had a chance to "break in" and soften up. No braid is going to be as hard to see as Vanish, but I find Vanish lacks impact strength and is no better than a good mono as far as abrasion resistance. The Spiderwire is pricey, but there is a rebate on it at the moment. Let me know what you think if you try it. Tom

I'll tell ya this summer. I just spooled one reel with it. I had original spiderwire on it and it lasted 15 years so I decided to replace it with the invisibraid.

Regular Ultracast will outperform it's Invisibraid sister.

Is the regular Ultracast still in production? It no longer is in the Cabela's catalog.
