I assume everyone or most people here have seen the Daiichi stand-out hooks, since they are in every gear guide and were featured at ICAST. But I took one look at this thing and I thought, "What the ----!?" What are they even supposed to be used for? What's up with the huge kink in them? Does anyone know the method to their madness!?

They are used for drop-shotting. Get that hook to stand staight out from the line.

They do work, even caught fish using them, but I prefer a Kahle hook myself when drop-shotting.

    Just fish.
