    If you are frequently breaking tackle, you are either poorly advised or don't have a clue what you need for what you are fishing for. Since you didn't take the time to give us this info, we all have the same problem and no way to answer your question. Tom

    There is always the recommendation to match the tackle to the type of fishing you are doing. I know a person who put 20# line on a light freshwater rig and was irritated when the rod broke. Avoid bargain basement junk, there is a lot of decent tackle out there at reasonable prices. Like slipperybob said, Ugly Sticks have a good reputation.
