Does anyone know anything about stretch braid? I saw an ad for it and didn't give it much thought at the time but now it is starting to make sense to me. I can't even remember who makes or sells it. About all I can remember is that it supposedly has more stretch than braid or fusion but less than fluoro. Tom

Cabela's has a stretch braid also.  I think it's called Ripcord SI plus.  It's supposed to have about 5% stretch.  Sounds neat, but I've never tried it.

As soon as I get back to work I will give both a try. I use fusion or braid most of the time now because I find both mono and fluoro a bit to stretchy but would like an option a bit softer than superlines. Thanks. Tom

I don't know about the Ripcord SI Plus, but the Ripcord and Ripcord SI are rather flat right off the spool.

SB: I am familliar with the SI, I have the metered version that is colored like leadcore on a couple of baitcasters I use for light trolling. Works fine for that, but doesn't cast worth a darn in my book. Tom

I guess the old Rapala Titanium Stretch Braid has become Sufix Stretch Braid. Rapala is now owner of Sufix...now I understand.

Thanks for the update, SB. I haven't had an opportunity to respool anything lately, this not working is not condusive to discretionary spending, so if it is still working, I'm not replacing on a whim like I used to! Over the winter there will be a couple of candidates for replacement and I'll try it then. Tom
