They are called easy to hook. They are a hook that you do not have to tie a knot for. I got them as a test product(1st 1) the other day. I took them out today, and they seem to do pretty good. I was surprised. Here is a link if you want to check them out. www.easy2hookusa.com Lifer since 05/08....Ky....Fred |

Not having a solid knot would worry me.I can snell a hook almost as fast as I can tie a palomar knot so I'll stick with regular hooks and knots. Sam, Lycoming County North Central PA NAFC Life Member ,Angler Legacy Ambassador |

Note to Sam: My eyesight is such that getting the line through the eye of a small hook can be a challenge on a bright or very cloudy day. Hooks #6 or larger aren't much of a problem. Maybe I should just chase bigger fish. Tom Lifer in NE Illinois |

Yeah! I also got them as a product test, but it's only been this weekend since I've been able to try them. We took them to the neighborhood pond and I am very happy with them. We were catching bluegills with them and they were really working well. I was surprised how easy it is to tie on (guess their name is pretty self-explanatory, but it's definitely not false advertisement! ). A little to my reluctance I had my reservations not using a more tried and trusted palomar knot, but they held really well. No slippage, no strains on the line, and they come out of the pack sharp as a needle. I just haven't had the opportunity yet since this weekend to write up my review on the member product test page. My only complaint was they were took freaking small to be used for any practical use other than bluegill.... and MAYBE crappie, but I'd be worried crappie might swallow the whole thing as small as they are. I was happy with them. -James |

I tested them too and was skeptical, as well. However, they are sharp and the "knot" held quite well, surprisingly. I really didn't miss tying a complex knot every time I wanted another hook on. However, they were too small for any practical application except maybe fly fishing, but they do come in larger sizes and now you can buy an adaptor to put on a lure to tie the lure on with the same "knot" as the hooks. I was using 6 # Cajun Line from Zebco. Like some of the others said, the hooks are too small for any game fish. They gave me sizes 4 and 12 to test. They work great for panfish, but I would like to see how they do on large fish. The way these hooks are "tied", they use the resistance of the fish to hold the line tight on the hook. Pretty good idea, but I would like to try bigger hooks and see if they preform as good as the smaller ones do.

I also got those. Tried them did not like them at all. Can only be used for light fresh water, no salt water at all. You can only tie them one way. After testing put mine in the round file.

I was always taught that if it seems to good to be true , than it probably is.
I will stick with my palomar knot it has never let me down.

Sounds like about 2 out of 5 club members got these as a field test. I hope the club is having fun dealing with the evaluations! Maybe that is why the site has been so slow at times lately! Tom Lifer in NE Illinois |

I got them as well and just gave them away in a contest. They were not practical for anything I would ever fish for. Northeast Bass Fishing |

Cann,t wait to see how the mag. prints this one up. Seems like its a product that most people don't like, but I,m sure they will print it like its the next best thing out there.

I still have to get the threader through the eye. Same problem, different material! I try to rig what I need before heading out, it's usually one of my kids that causes the problem! BTW, the youngest is 34. Tom Lifer in NE Illinois |

I have wrote the company owner, and he sent me 3 different size of worm hooks and Snell hooks. I have us them, worm hooks and they work great. I caught couple of LM on it, and the knot never gave away. One of the bass was in the falling dead tree and I had to haul him out! I would given them a 9 out of 10 stars meaning I would recommend them! Dennis Practice Everyday,

I got them also. They were much smaller than I prefer, but gave it a try anyway. I rigged a rubber worm with one of the larger hooks. On the third cast, the hook came loose and went sailing. I didn't try anymore and gave a bad evaluation. The concept is good, but I was using 6 lb mono and should not have lost the lure. Gary Life Member, Retired WV State Police, Retired SFC US Army. I got them as well. NOT at all impressed. The size they sent was way to small for any real fish. I took them to a community pond that has bluegill and small catfish, I did OK with the gill however the cat's are still swimming with them...POP! After I got home and did my review, I seen the link to their website and the video of the lady hooking a fish and the hook coming off (It reminded me of what happened to me), and the guy offers to put a new one on for her, she puts on a new one so easily. That's one way to make sure the the ol lady doesn't out fish us guys! Give them the hooks so we have more fishing time and they cant bring anything in....lol |
