Note to Sam: My eyesight is such that getting the line through the eye of a small hook can be a challenge on a bright or very cloudy day. Hooks #6 or larger aren't much of a problem. Maybe I should just chase bigger fish. Tom

BUY ONE OF THOSE GAGETS YOU WIFE USES TO PULL THE THREAD THREW THE EYE OF A SEWING NEEDLE. WORKS GREAT..
Fly fishing catalogs have a nifty magnetic threader that you put the fly in and stick your leader through the groove and it slips right through the hook eye. Works good for a size 28 hook. It may work for regular hooks and lures.
