I found a strange fish in Amon Carter Lake that appears to be a mix between a peacock, and large mouth bass. They are the colors of a peacock but patterned like a large mouth. I have tried to post a photo, but the comp says it is to big to post. Has any one heard of a hybrid like this. I don't want to ask the game rangers about it because they are fun to catch, and have a right to live. I am afraid they will try to round them up and wipe them out. the other species seem to be doing better now that they are there. If you catch one watch out they have teeth. Their teeth are like cactus thorns but hard and long.

Get it identified! Don't worry bout state Conservation officers cause they do a great job. If it has teeth chances are they are from S.America. What if it turns o8t to be a self destructor? Eats itself out of forage, better to know what you dealing w/than to be sorry later.

Without a photo I can't help, however, I can tell you it is definately  not a  hybrid of largemouth and peacock. Largemouth are a species of sunfish and peacock are a species of cichlid and they cannot interbreed.
