    Hey JPP,

Welcome to the BB, never have seen you on here before. In refernce to your post, If you want management to see this request, then you will need to go to the section, "contact club" on the Home Page, and write them a letter addressed to Promotions and advertisement dept. . They will not see it here and even if they do it will be just the editors that see it and it won't be forwarded. They say they have all they can do to edit. I agree with you that the sports world is changing and more and more women are getting involved. The club should keep up with the changes. I will help with the cause and send a notice to them also.

Tight lines, bent poles, and smoking drags to you.

I have been a Life Member since 1997. I joined because I wanted to read articles by, for and about female anglers. Sometimes, I feel like I am the only female Life Member at NAFC. I don't see women anglers promoted at all. And, whenever NAFC has offers for clothing, etc., it is NEVER sized for women, cut for women or even feminine in the least bit. Even John Deere has a female line of clothing. Please NAFC--start showing that you have a "female side" to your organization! Give us some time, space, magazine coverage, clothing that would suit a woman's taste and fit the many aspects of female anglers.

Let me be the first to say that I agree 100%. I don't think I have ever seen anything that is geared for the 'Ladies of the Lake'. The club took your money... they should make sure you have the opportunity to wear your club colors on feminine clothing. Or what ever...

Welcome to the BB JPP. There are several of us fishy ladies here on the Board. I agree there isn't much info spotlighting women in the outdoors, but at least most hunting/fishing techniques are the same regardless of your gender. It would be nice though to have a "women on the water" page/column in the magazine.

P.S. Congrats papa_d and Debbie on your marriage. Been too busy fishing this summer to be on the BB much and didn't know you tied the knot! Looking forward to meeting y'all at the LaCrosse meet.

Welcome JPP. Hope you get some action on your quest. Some things are slow to evolve I'm afraid. Stick around, lots of fine folks here, both M and F.

Welcome to the BB JPP although the majority of members are currently Male, there are alot of Females here as well. Maybe another suggestion is to have a female anglers thread. It seems that the saying that women talk more than men doesn't hold true. Look at the number of post that many men have then research and see how many post women have. You Ladies got to start posting to be heard. Us men are wanten n waiten to hear from ya's. Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->

These days, women in sporting events is quite common. There are some times where having women in sporting events offends many men, but that's only because its a male-dominated sport. Though I agree that many of these sports agencies need to cater towards women. I would not be surprised if we see a WNFL (womens' national football league) or even a few female-oriented fishing or golfing situations. By the way, JPP, how do you feel about the macho image on trucks these days? If you're fishing, you do need a truck to tow the fishing boat, so I was wondering if you think there should be trucks built for women (like they are for men)...?

outdoor clothing for small females is tough to find. check the kids section of sporting goods stores. same quality and less price. thats were we purchase my wifes outdoor clothing.
Also if you are ever in North Bay - Onterio there is a sporting goods store that has a womens section that has lots of small sizes. Look for cathy's catch of record walleye listed as a runner up in last years photo contest.

Welcome to the bulletin board Just Plain Pat & KensKeep... Wink<!--graemlin:;)--> Glad to have you here. My wife, MrsBigDog68, Has the same problem as you ladies when it comes to club clothing, she wears small/medium and has trouble finding stuff that fits her. I believe they should offer the same opportunities and sizes to the ladies as they do the men. Even us larger guys like myself that wears a 3X and the club tells me they cannot get a life member jacket any larger than a 2X. Hey NAFC, How about us men and women out here that wear the "plus" sizes ??? Mad<!--graemlin::mad:--> Have a good one ladies, hope you stay around and help get some stuff done around here. Hi JPP---- Just want to say that all you gals is that Ya'll are rhe ones who put class in this club. We need more Ladysports to help our sport survive. It ain't the clothes gal>> It's the heart!! We got a lot of gals in here that i would be glad to hunt or fish with and they could probably teach me a thing or two!! I agree with the sentiments though>> NAFC should be a lot more supportive of all their members..

Fish as long as you can and hunt the rest of the time! Cool<!--graemlin::cool:-->

Umm, I sell plus sizes in T-shirts and sweatshirts, but you'll have to go to the Merchandise forum for what I've got. You know, bass, trout, catfish, etc. I hope that helps.

Thank you to all who responded to my letter. I am glad to know that there is help and hope out there for us "novice" female anglers even though I am 57 and one of those plus size gals. I do drive a truck ('03 Chev. Silverado and it's a Black Beauty)however, I can't afford a boat of my own nor can I swim! I just love to fish but I'm not very good at it, never had any real education on how to fish just what I've picked up over the years. That is why I joined NAFC in the first place but not that I don't appreciate the guys perspective, I was just looking for some experiences from the gals to help me really get started and be able to continue when I retire. Guess it's a "girl thing". JPP
