Hi guys! I just want to thank you for your kind words and to give you a heads-up on what will be coming in the near future. My next trip, I plan to use Rapala's DT-10 . This is something that I have had since summer but haven't used it enough to form an opinion on it. That just change in the coming weeks. Sooner, if I can shake this cold. Thanks again, Ben |

Rapala DT-10 As always, Rapala has done good with the quality and design of the DT-10. Too bad I can't seem to do anything with them or any other crankbait for that matter. No matter when, where, or how I fish a crankbait, I just can't seem to crack the code. To be honest, I use more spinnerbaits and believed the two to be similar. Apparently, I was wrong. To get back on track, the hooks are nice and sharp, the detail in the paint scheme is excellent, and it has a good feel in the water. They come in a good variety of colors. Overall, I like the Rapala DT-10. I just wish I could catch a fish on one. I have two of them; one in blue shad and one in parrot. Rapala DT-10 - 8 out of 10 When I crack the crankin' code with these I'll bump it up but, until then I'll keep tossing them. |

Redneck...just curious...how are you fishing your cranks? Are you working them through heavy cover or out in open water? My personal experience has been that they can be very tough to get a bite on when fished in open water. Now tossing a $10 lure into heavy cover isn't cost effective, so I tend to stray away from the rapala cranks, even though they are a great bait. I throw Bomber square bills most of the time...you can get them for about 3 or 4 bucks at Walmart...I buy mine at http://lurenet.com/internet-specials Sometimes they are on sale as low as $1.99! |

Mo... I fish a crankbait wherever I feel there's fish. Crankin' cover doesn't really bother me until I lose something good. Which I have quite a few times. In fact, I lost a DT-10 while fishing a fallen tree. I don't know what it is but, I just can't seem to catch bass on crankbaits. Bream and Crappie are no problem, but when it comes to bass, I just can't seem to get it right. I use Bomber square bills as well but with the same result. The crappie love'em but I can't pay a bass to hit it. Anyway, I do pretty well with top water lures, worms, jigs, and spinnerbaits. I'm not going to give up on crankbaits. I'll keep using them when and where it calls for one. Maybe I'll get it figured out, one day. |

Yeah...if you are bouncing cranks off wood...and the crappies are grabbing it...you're doing it right. Need to find the color the bass want...just keep at it!

Hi redneck, Use charteuse or brown and cast along the weed edges. If there in there you'll catchem. Parrot is good the blue one I've never caught anything on. |

Hi guys, just wanted to check in and let you know that I haven't forgotten about the new tests. I have been working quite a bit of overtime her lately which has cut into my fishing time. Although it may cut into it, it will never cut it out! Be prepared, the Pro Max and Buzz Frog are coming soon! |
