Just wondering what type of knots other people are using.  I did a lot of research via the internet earlier this year and found one I liked.  I had always used the improved clinch knot and through my research found the some that are much better.  Its kind of funny but the one I am using currently is the double improved clinch, it is rated as retaining %100 line strength or more due to the doubling of the line.  Just curious what other people are using out there.  The only down side to the double improved is that it is a rather large knot.

Polymar knot. One of the strongest knots there is and easy to tie. It will not slip, even with braided line.

Depends on the situation.  I often use the improved clinch knot, the palomar knot and the Rapala knot.  If you tie a solid knot to a Rapala lure without a split ring and it bumps a tree, rock or limb it may go off center causing the lure to come through the water sideways.  With the Rapala knot, it has a much more natural presentation.

I use Palomar and Trilene knots only for attaching lures , hooks , swivels etc. Blood or double uni knots to join two lines together.     Happy fishing.

I've Always used the Improved Clinch-Knot, yet lately I'm tring the Palomar. The I-C Knot's never let me down, caught a 50+# Black Drum down @ the Texas Gulf Coast, took me 1hr. & 45mins. to land that critter*, & repeated same 2 weeks later, @ the same spot in Port Aransas, No Digi-Cam Pic, only throw-away camera, got the hard-copy,   "Take Care", L8r.
