i just received a packet in the mail from NAFC that says ive been nominated for a life membership. i received a life member patch and keychain in this packet and a check for my past payed dues. it says that all i have to do is deposit the check and i will receive all my life membership benefits. it also says that i have been picked out of thousands of memberas for this special offer. there is nothing as far as i can tell that says i have to pay anything. does anyone know what this is or if it is a SCAM.

If you cash the check you will be billed the life member dues.(which are close to $300) I got the same letter when I first joined. I decided to become a lifer, but if you do not want to, do not cash the check. If you dont cash the check you will still recieve the mag for a year.
