You are asking some pretty good questions but you need to give more spicific questions, do you fish on a pond? lake? river? / Do you know how deep the body of water is? are there any deep spots? For any type of fish you can alwayse use worms!!! small hook/ small bobber small sinker no heaver than 6# test line. Have a great day and KOF Bob H.

Rebel makes a large line of mini lures that catch lots of Bluegill.

Try there Bumblebugs, wee frog, wee tadpole, tiny crawdads, and there crickhoppers. All will catch fish. Just make sure the fish aren't deep, and you fish by cover. Most of these lures don't dive deeper than 3 ft. Also use light tackle and light line( 6 pound should do) as these lures don't weigh that much.

Heck I would have to answer the best bait for most all panfish would be a good ole Night Crawler. I don't know of too many panfish that will pass by a live worm too often. You can try fishing a worm on top or a few feet below the surfaces using a bobber float. You can also fish a worm off the bottom or even slow trolling it off the bottom with a bottom bouncer or suspended. Your depth really depends on where you are fishing and for what species.

    Good Luck and Happy Fishing

One could say, look at bass lures and go smaller. Minnows, worms and grubs (mealworms and etc) account for many fish as do the lures (including flies) that imitate them. Read a batch of the treads in the panfish section for lots of information already available.
