I went out this morning to a local river in my town. i stayed out there for 2 hours and caught 3 pickrel and one bass i kept for the frying pan. Its a very slow river with tons of cover and mud. I hooked this guy around a fallen tree and as i was reeling it in the fish stoped coming and it felt like i was hung up on somthing. i reeled tighter and lifted the rod the bass came strait up out of the water and floated there. hahaha i relized he was already hooked and the other line was wrapped around the fallin tree. so as the bass is hanging from the line i waded out into the river in my shorts and shoes. When i get to the fish about 20 feet out i was knee deep in the mud and this stuff was like quicksand.I unhooked the bass and carried him back to shore. i was soaked from the waist down. i decided to call it a trip after that so at the end of the day i went home with lunch and a rebel pop'r i retrieved from the bass's mouth <!--graemlin::D-->
