Took my wife fishing Sunday night. Wound up taking home 76 sand bass all 1 to 2 pounds.

Date on the camera isn't right - still haven't figured out how to set it.

Hey old fart, I was stationed out there 68' to 71.  I was TDY OCS training command, attached to the 2nd of the 1st Artillery.  I never heard of "sand bass".

Turnip I`ve never heard of them either. They kinda look like a mix between a striper and something else.

Caught them at Fort Gibson Lake. Sand Bass ( A.K.A. White Bass ) are related to stripers, only smaller. If you guys have ever heard of a " Wiper " it's a cross between stripers and white bass. The white bass happens to be the state fish of Oklahoma. LOTS of fun to catch. When you hook one it runs like you wouldn't believe.

John, yes there is a dollar bill in the ice chest. It's just a common item everyone is familiar with that lets you know the size of the fish.
