After the La Crosse Meet, sscasteel came to my place, about 80 miles north of there and we spent a couple of days fishing 2 small reservoirs in my area.
1st one on Wednesday is called Eau Galle....and fishing was little tough....I lost a 3 lb northern at the boat....and could manage only a one little bass after that. Steve didn't do much better....and probably set a record for number of times in 6 hrs getting his lures snagged on stickfish and branchfish.
Here's a link to the pics of that excursion...

Thursday we hit the other one called Nugget. This one is interesting in several regards....as you can only use a trolling motor on it....and it doesn't really have any BIG predator fish in it like pike, muskie or catfish.
We hit close to 30 different laydowns along the shore....but all we could manage on them was one small crappie.
Out in the middle though...in 5 - 8 ft of water....with weeds about 2 ft below the surface (and a few at the top)...was a different story.
Here's the pics....
