Bigbarry is it, well first off if you would have read my post it states that I only practice Catch and release and beleive it or not the stringers full of bass my son in law and I caught those in about 20 min and they were all released unharmed except maybe their pride. They come from a private pond dug and stocked 15 years ago and we only fish it about 2 times a year. I have hundreds of pics of me and good sized fish for one reason I do catch and release and I have been fishing the same areas for 35 years. |

Very nice job indeed. Fish do need to be removed in certain quantites to keep a pond properly balanced. To much fish can just hurt all the fish in a body of water. No one likes to catch stunted fish. I do think its okay to occasionally keep fish, such as Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, and Catfish, but only the limit. I don't believe in taking all the fish for myself and being a hog. People that do that are definitely the ones that hurt our fishing waters. |

I see no problem with you keeping anything you caught, even if you released it. Bass are tasty too I'm assuming. I don't keep anything anymore because I don't feel like cleaning it. Hope the rest of your season keeps going well! Southeast PA LM '99 |
