Finally i caught my first Atlantic Salmon. I was appoximatley 24 inches. I caught it on a 1/8 ounce Rooster Tail with 1 single free swinging hook. On that same bait, earlier in the day i caught a 20 inch Brown trout. My second biggest trout of the year, and possibly the biggest brownie i have ever caught.

Nice job, John and great pics!  I have noticed a lot of "missed hits" with the smaller treble hooks on lures and like you, I have discovered that a single hook works better...fewer "missed hits"!   Thanks for sharing!

Thanks. Also up here for the salmon, we cant use treble hooks because its illegal. We only have to use a lure with a free swinging hook, no extra weight attached to the line, and no live bait.
