well as always when you find a best friend in life you hold them close and dear to you and never let them go or let them down. You may fight, fuss and be all sorts of trials and tribulations with them but you always seem to be there for one and other life you where the only two on the face of the earth, Que the "thats what friends are for" theme music.
well this best friend, is more then just my best friend she just so happens to be my 9 year ole daughter. I tell ya at times she can make me upset to the point of goin insane and others she can make me laugh until I wet myself ( or as barb says "You just giggle in your sleep" ).
I guess there's a special bond between a father and his daughter and un-like most fathers, this ole boy enjoys the company of her more then a son. She is my Life, My Light in the dark, she is my everything.
Well, today she and I had one of those father and daughter adventures that will Not only burn great memories into her but will give me something to always look upon and smile on those lonely days/nights.
Well today we started out wanting to go fishin' but the weather the last two days has not wanted to work with us. So we decided to head to Pricketts Fort.
And while we where at the fort we went all over that place. Seem ole dad didn't bring enough loot to do the tour but by crackie well hit it up again real soon to do so.
man what it would have been like to live back then. Ohh she had so many questions and I thanked God that Mr pat Ryan gave me the knowledge on West Virginia History, cause I tell ya she was all sorts of Jibber jab and Questions.
Well after a while we went down to the creek and collected rocks, Skipped Rocks, Fed ducks, geese. We even about fell in a few times LOL.
So Our next stop was onto the Memorial Cival war trail that led us into down town fairmont, then back across the Muddy Mon River and Onward threw grafton back into Morgantown.
But before we left, we stopped at the old Palatine Suspension ( the old toll bridge ) to snap a few pic's. this bridge has alot of History in ur area.
course it was also a stop on the list on the old cival war trail.
We then doubled back and Headed to Mont Chateau State Park, course by this time is was closing and the fact it was raining so hard we could barely see. LOL
So we then went onward to Pt Marion, Where i showed kaylee where me and her uncle used to live and where Ricky had His hunting accident. Course there We walked the trails to the point where she noticed the Mon River was Muddy and the Cheat was Bright St Patties Day green and she couldn't figure out why. LOL
then back to the ride as we headed for the lake lynn hydro station.
man she was a little Iffy at first, but after a lil Encouragement she was all for some walks and more rock throwing. LOL
well after some pic's and even more rocks tossed into the Cheat River we were off for home.
Man what a great time I had today with my best friend and I cannot wait to do it again! Miss kaylee I love you and I thank you for the great memories, today was one of the very best days I have had in a long time.
