I started making these about 5 years ago when I got tired of paying the prices in the stores for blades that I wasn't completely satisfied with. Either I didn't like the hooks or the swivels weren't ball bearing or quick change, etc. As a result, I started making spinner baits with the following setups: Owner hooks, titanium shafts, ball bearing snap swivels, round rubber skirts, nickle or black colorado blades.
Needless to say I haven't been happier since I started making these. I've won many night tournaments using them exclusively and have found them extremely effective for dirty water conditions as well.

I would be interested in knowing what you have available. I know your post is quite old, but thought I would give it a try. My son and I fish alot together and he loves using spinnerbaits, so obvioulsy we go through alot of them.
