    Hello all;

    Name here is Dan, and I now live in Tyler Texas, having moved here a few months ago from Orange, Texas. Have to get used to this freshwater fishing I guess. LOL

    I have been a lifetime member since June 2003, but mostly forgot about the club's forum, until I got an advertisement in the mail for the hunting club. It, along with the warmer weather, has spurred my interest again, so here I am.  (I didn't join the hunting club) I used to post on the first forum, but for some reason, life got in the way, and I have been pretty inactive for the last year or so when it came to fishing, even longer for posting here on the forum!

    I have mostly fished for reds and catfish on the brackish inshore lakes and rivers around the Upper Gulf Coast of Texas. Now, since moving to Tyler, a whole new spectrum of fishing has opened for me...fresh water fishing! Hope to try out some of the lakes around here soon. I understand that fishing is good in them. However, I don't have a boat at the moment, so all my fishing will be from shore.

    I love several different styles of fishing, including catfishing, shallow water for reds and specs, worm/minnow fishing for pan fish, crappy, and the occasional bass. I also like to fly fish, and tie some of my own flies.

    Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Glad to be here, again, and hope to learn and contribute as I can.

    Tight lines,

    Salty Dan

    If at first you don't succeed, maybe you shouldn't try sky diving!
