Pete & Mike:

There a couple of good Italian places here that make some really good hot and mild sausage links! There is also some cudagi that is good. Maybe you all should try that one time!@

Has there been anymore discussion on purchasing the fish at the market in marquette? I just thought it was a good idea when it was first mentioned...

Your right with that papa_d but you, me and everyone knows that fresher is better. Just make sure or ask around up theres if there are smoked samon or other raw fish from another charter boat not by any processing plant. Smiler<!--graemlin::)--> But next year Doc, papa)d and I may in turn buy some smoked Salmon for any nights dinner for everyone if its possible.

Pork Roast sounds great to me Dave! but on any other night I'd just might make a Fettucine Afredo with any choice meat for all the Gwinn's members but I want to know which meat to go with it.

Pete:

A little background on the topic of "purchasing the fish" from a local market. It was mentioned this year as a suggestion one could say., "why should one have to pay $10 per meal which was for 7 meals if we are asked to keep the fish we catch for the Friday Fish Fry"? That's a good point and this is what broughth on the topic of buying the fish rather than depend and ask members to contrbute their fish and funds also. Hope this brings you back from the "lost" area.

Pappy!

As far as a "local fish market"., There is one in Marquette, but he is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!

IF we have to purchase fish it would be IDF packets from Gordon's Food Market., In otherwords FROZEN FISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now here is a point for all of you to consider!!!!!:

IF EVERYONE WILL KEEP THE FISH THEY CATCH ON FRIDAY OR DURING THE WEEK, WE CAN DROP THE COST DOWN TO A TOTAL OF $60.OO SINCE ALL OF YOU WOULD BE PROVIDING THE FISH FOR THE FRIDAY MEAL.

What be your thoughts on that!!!!!!!!! This would also apply to those who NORMALLY practice "Catch and Release, for this meal ONLY!

Just a thought!

The only reason I mentioned buying fish was because someone mentioned it first. I was just asking... I'd much 5rather have the fresh frid fish anyway. I would rather eat perch and bluegill any day... Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->

Frogman

Is there a access area to fish trout around the chocalay upper falls on 545 just up from the cottages??

And do you know the way to the access at Sawmill Creek and the lower escanaba??

ROD TENDER: I do believe that there is, but let me check and get as close as we can to the falls.

I'm not sure about the Sawmill Creek thing, but I will try and find out for you tomorrow. I will be in the shop, and will ask around, and look for some maps.

I won't be opening the shop up early next year, so maybe we can sneak out and see what is there. I will try to get out a few days early too, and see if there are any fish around.

Rich
