    The Pa member meet will be held this year at Raystown Lake on September 28, 29, 30, 2007.

    You may elect to camp wherever you wish but there is an area that I recommend that everyone use so that we are together, the trailers can be kept and the boats can be beached at the camp sites and the "hot" laker area is close by...

    The "Seven Points Campground" appears to be the best location. I recommend the "Point Camp" wing of the campground.
    * Available utilities include electric, water, showers.
    * Parking area for trailers and "landing" area for boats at the camp ground. There is a free launch on the other side of the marina.
    * Daily rates are $22 and no reservations taken in Sept. Was advised that there are very few campers or boaters at the date we chose!
    * There is a striper & laker hot spot right next to the camping area that time of year. The dam is about 8 mi. away and there is a hot spot for walleye just across the lake (slightly up) from the campground.
    * When I have a definate number of folks that are planing to attend I'll send out a small packet with maps, etc.

    By the way, you are allowed two tents per site! Cool<!--graemlin::cool:-->

    As soon as you let me know that you are coming, I'll send out a member packet (PM me your full name & addy). Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->

    I've never been to Raystown, but fall fishing seems to be the way to go everywhere else. We can make it a three day event, but encourage everyone to stop by even if it's for a day or even a few hours.

    I have been to Raystown and I would advise against an early in the year trip. Raystown tends to have a lot of floating tree debris on it. The bass fishing was pretty good though.
    Good luck.

    P.S. Take a hike streeter (aka vttroller)!!!!!!
    This post has NOTHING TO DO with your
    problem and/or situation. So butt out
    and SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!! Mad<!--graemlin::mad:-->

    After Labor Day things settle down at Raystown. It is a huge lake! Ifn ya head left at the main marina it will take ya toward the dam...You will also run into islands. My neighbor says that is excellant bassin! There ar record strippers there but I understand they are tuff ta get. Also plenty of lake trout and walleye.

    Hey Turnip (Pete):

    I guess "Streeter" AKA VT Troller is "trolling" for a "hit list" and it appears we three ( You, Papa_d and myslef) have made it for some reason. But like you said these meets have NOTHING to do with his "situation" if there is one and I sure wish the Club would look into this once again! But I believe our "back-sides" are pretty well covered!!! Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->
