Goose Island Campground Located 3 miles South of La Crosse Wisconsin just off of Hwy 35, in the backwaters of the Mississippi River.
Campground Amenities:
The Campground has Over 400 Camp Sites: most with Electrical and Water Hook-Up, Restroom/Shower Facilities, Sanitary Dump Stations, a Camp Store with bait licenses and ice, Firewood, a Fish Cleaning House, 3 Boat Ramps, Canoe Rentals, Swimming Beach, 2 Nature Trails, a Kids Playground, Volleyball & Basketball courts, a Game Room and a Miniature Golf Course.
Not to mention the excellent fishing that abounds for (Walleye, Sauger, Bass, Catfish, Pike, Crappie, and Blue Gills) in the backwaters and main channel of the Mississippi River
Reservations:
To reserve your campsite Please call the Goose Island Campground after Jan 3rd 2008 at 1-608-788-7018 Make sure to tell them you are with the NAFC and that you would like a campsite in the #55 to #70 loop, we reserve #50 - #54 as the designated host / group activity sites each year they are right on shore with plenty of room / beach area for members to moor their boats during the meet.
There are several Motels/Hotels close by for non Camping Members (if you would like info on Motels/Hotels please let us know)
Quick note:
You must be 18 yrs. or older to reserve a campsite at the campground and to attend the meet, if you are one of our younger members under the age of 18 and would like to join us your welcome to do so as long as a parent or guardian accompanies you during your stay
Fishing License info:
The area / water of the Mississippi River we plan to fish is classified as State Boundary water if you are from, Wisconsin, Minnesota no other license is required, if you are attending from other states not bordering the boundary you will need to get a nonresident fishing license.
