I have never fished striper in freshwater. I have a question about when I should consider fishing there... Would you suggest the meet be earlyer or later in the season periods shown on your map?  I fish from a smaller 15ft w/ a 25hp.  so I'm wondering if a later trip (farther upstream!) would be wiser in my small boat.  I'm  not sure if I could make another meet...so just asking for info sake...Also.you can consider this an open invitation to the NE meet near at LK George/Champlaign. Well be meeting the weekend of may 10th.

Hi Guys,  I just threw this out there are a Idea to kick off the spring season.I don't have any Date or Place definitely set.  All depends on how many guys we can get togeather,  what time frame is best for most,, what type of boats you have, etc.  I have Never Fished for Stripers in the Hudson before but am told by everyone I've spoken to that it's realy Great from end of March to mid May as the Map shows,  even Off Shore.  If we had enough guys and the price was reasonable, I wouldn't rule out a Charter?? So I'm open for any suggestions, advice, ideas on making this come togeather. For those of you, like Me, who've never done this before, Here's some more info.
