When and where will the next Illinois meet take place? The last two I went to were: 2006 - Illinois River - Starved Rock 2007 - Clinton Lake Any one have any plans? Lifetime member since 1999 |

I liked Clinton Lake. At least I got my boat into the water. which is more than I can say for some other attempts. Big John seems to have fallen off the map and he was out go to guy there. Hopt to catch some of you fellers out tyere this year. GDN! USAF Vietnam Vet 66-67 One a Da Boyz from Illinoiz

I'm itchin' to get out finshing. I just got my license and pulled the boat out from beside the garage and got the battery charged up. Sunday sounds like it is supposed to be a nice day. I might get to the local state park (Morrison-Rockwood State Park) for a first time out. I got some new rods and reels to try out, too.

Hey All...I made the Starved Rock Meet but wasn't impressed. I didn't make Clinton but wished I did. If the place you all choose for this year is within reason for my drive; I'll be there. Just give me a little more notice than the day before!!! Later, Dennis

Clinton Lake, Shelbyville Lake, Any other Lake within a couple hours of Springfield. So can we decide on the when and where? We don't need to have a big group but let's get something set up. |

Mooser, a good many of the folks that put those meets together post regularly on the Bassholes site. Ray & musky girl still post regular on this site. Look for them in the LaCrosse member meet thread. I hope this helps!

If any other members ae interested...I am camping at Shabbona State Park this weekend. BRKAT and I will be fishing Saturday morning. If you want to come with, meet us at the bot ramp at 6am. That's Sat. July 12 at 6am.

BRKAT and I fished Shabbona on Saturday. Not a great day of fishing as a storm front came through the night before. We caught one small LM Bass between the two of us. Looked like it was going to rain, but it cleared up and we fished for about 6 hours. Hopefully the next time we go out we'll have better luck.

Labor Day weekend is fastly approching and I was wondering if anyone had any plans to fish in Northern Illinois? I'm from the Aurora area and I'd like to take my boat out probably for the last time this year. |

Planning on one or two mre times getting the boat out before winter. This weekend got KO'd . It was a beautiful weekend too. Either be heading to Lake Carlton in Morrison, IL or the Mississippi River near Comanche, IA. LIke to find a mess of Crappie. But if I catch fish I'd be happy.

Hey there jbird...long time no see. The first and last time was at Starved Rock. Then I drove from Muskegon, Michigan; but now live in Milwaukee, Wi. Hopefully I'll be able to make a meet some time with you all again. My wife Debbie is also a PanFisher as myself. Crappy or Bluegill sounds great to me. Still ice fishing here in Illinois. Temps are supposed to stay cold for another week after this last few days of warmer weather and rain. I am planning on hitting the lake again on Monday, March 2. Been getting some bluegill here and there. Plus a Crappie or a Bass now and then. Got laid-off from my job at the end of Jan. and don't look to travel far from home until I can find a better income than unemployment.

Still not found a full-time job yet. Been driving part time making deliveries for Menards. I would like to get to gether somewhere close. The Miss. near Clinton has been up most of the year. It's probably too late for '09, but I sure would like to make a meet in Il. My problem is transpotation, my eyes won't let me drive. I would love to make a meet in the Northern 1/3 of Il. if there is one. I'll keep an eye open here and on the Il. topic. Tom
