I am considering bringing some tying stuff along.  Perhaps we will have some time to tie a few things up!  Maybe on a rainy day?   Of course, I am likely to be spending my time at the ice cream shop on those days...

Just heads up. This group has no permission from me. So, your in the $50,000.00 fee for NAFC to write about this group without my written permission. So, don't expect a write up. I don't think cowards like virus deserves to use my foundations name or any likness there of. Anyone who helps, or sponsors this group, owes Schooner Enterprises $50,000.00 and per member fee adjusted in 2008. A coward who had another mans help to attack a 56 year old HOST! Who did his cooking and cleaning as he enjoyed our labor for free. Nothing worse than a woman abuser! As well as a NAFC lefer to boot. Thats the thanks he gives towards his hosts, attack the wife as he to cowardly to attack me myself...

Thanks for your purchases.

Ed, I don't know if I told you or not, but we would like to get a shirt too!!! Let me know if it's still early enough to add it to the order and I'll send you a Money Order.

Pete, I just found the money order that I thought I sent to you back in march, it is dated back in march '09 and is still good...... I will get it in the mail tomorrow. Sorry about that my friend. BD

27", what a laugh. A baby pike... I see sherriff, the threats stopped and  me on the lake last year and this. I did not get my beat down you was going to give me. The promise you wrote online here in 2007. That you was going to give me what I deserve. Why nnot go after franny like rabbitt, she's more your speed. I know NAFC allows you to openly threaten harm to fellow members. Have ya beat'n a woman latley? If you had met me, you'd catch fish worth a photo. 27" is BAIT! Geez my grand kids on bunny pole catch's l;arge. The same outfit Patirch Sinwich showed up with in 2000. Zebco baby pole.

Found this on the web pretty cool :

Concord Grape Pie

I first became aware of Michael Turback when he opened Turback's of Ithaca, a restaurant in an enormous renovated Victorian house on Rt. 13 south of Ithaca. That was back in the early 1980s when Turback was only 22. He wanted to use, as much as possible, local ingredients and local wines, and was one of the forerunners of a movement that eventually became known as Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty.

Although--much to the chagrin of many, myself included--Turback's of Ithaca is no longer in business, Michael Turback has not lost his interest in food or in promoting regional foods and wines. He is the author of the best-selling A Month of Sundaes, More than a Month of Sundaes, The Banana Split Book, Hot Chocolate, and Greetings from the Finger Lakes: A Food and Wine Lover's Companion from which comes this recipe.

CONCORD GRAPE PIE

The local tradition of purple pies began sometime in the 1960s with Al Hodges, who commissioned Irene Bouchard to make a unique grape dessert for the Redwood Restaurant in Naples. Forty years later, thousands come to the village of Naples to celebrate the grape harvest and sample the native grape pies. The robust flavor of Concord grapes makes this unusual pie a treat. You will have to peel each grape, but the delicious results are well worth the effort.

♥♥♥♥♥

Makes one 9-inch pie

PIE CRUST

2½ cups all-purpose flour, sifted

1 teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small pieces

½ cup vegetable shortening, chilled and cut into small pieces

6 to 7 tablespoons cold water

FILLING

4 cups Concord grapes

1 cup sugar

⅛ teaspoon salt

2½ tablespoons tapioca

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, at room temperature

To make the pie crust, mix together the flour and salt in a bowl. Using a pastry blender or a fork, cut in the butter and shortening until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle the water over the mixture a tablespoon at a time, mixing lightly after each addition, until the dough can be formed into a ball, and allow them to rest for 15 minutes before rolling out.

To make the filling, slip the skins off the grapes and reserve them. Put the grape pulp in a saucepan and simmer over medium-low heat just until soft enough to release the seeds, about 8 minutes. Push the grape pulp through a wire-mesh strainer to remove the seeds. Combine the pulp in a bowl with the reserved grape skins.

Roll out each ball of dough on a well-floured board until they are 10 to 11 inches in diameter. Line the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan with a round of dough. Preheat the over to 450ºF. Mix the sugar, salt, and tapioca together in a bowl and spread about half of the mixture with the grapes and add the lemon juice. Pour the pie filling into the crust and dot with butter. Cover with the top crust and crimp the edges to seal. Bake for 10 minutes and then lower the temperature to 350ºF and bake for another 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool for 30 minutes before serving. If not serving immediately, warm the pie in an oven set on the lowest temperature for 10 minutes before serving.

Irregardless of what happened in the past Bill...there's no WAY that you can stop we Members from getting together.

It's OUR choice to get together....and the Meets are NOT Club sanctioned.

You can NOT stop we Members from getting together and doing what EVER we feel like doing....and that IZ the bottom line as far as I'm concerned.

And IF you TRY to stop us...you MAY find yourself in the middle of a "Class Action"...if you know what that is.

I have created a "sign-up list" post on the Ohio Chapter site for any of the Ohio Chapter members that want to come to the Finger Lakes Meet. I am hoping for a good sized representation from the Ohio Chapter this year at the Finger Lakes Meet. Am planning on a "Convoy" from the Buckeye State to the Finger Lakes Meet. I will find out as we get folks signed up as to how many of them want shirts and what sizes and post them on the Ohio Chapter site. BD

I also received a call from Dave Mitchel.  His health is poor but he is determined to make the meet.  Dave also said that Nancy's health has improved some...It will be nice to see them again!

Wow Ed, gonna have to hang them from the trees!  LOL!  My journal will be smoking this year...

Does anyone know if there is a Greyhound bus stop somewhere in the area? If my wife has that weekend off I might be able to go for a day or two.

Ed, if I come up next year, I'm assuming the seven day for 35 is the way to go right? I know, dumb question! Would you have a problem with me coming with Pete if he comes early? I know how ya hate to deal with Pete that long, don't want to push your buttons too much.
