In an effort to put this meet in a better position to catch stripers, this meet will be held September 29, 30, October 1, 2, 3.  Arrival date is the 29th and departure date is the 3rd.  I hope to see you there!

Do the stripers bite better in October than September?

How do you go about catching them?

What is the average size caught there?

When do they drop the water level ???? I was checking things out again today on striper's , I think we were getting close last year , I saw the bait busting up top and I think Art did also. Next year I'll have one rod rigged at all times with a stick bait so I'll be ready it that happen's again.................the charters seem to like the time frame you had down............

I am not sure they lower the water on a regular basis.  Last year they were doing maint. on the shoreline which was to start a few days (10 I think) after we were to be gone.  Yes, we were very close to the correct time to be there for stripers (for the fall feeding push).  This year we will be three days into October which is better than last year by 6 days...We shall see!

Here are some pics that davesett2000 posted for us last year:

The pics above are of the camping facilities or better said, the layout of the campground.

Here are some pics from last year...

It was a great time as all member meets are.  The facilities are really nice and I look forward to seeing you this year!

I see Carol and Ed caught fish. But then again they always catch fish. Maybe they could give lessons.

I was only there the one time and can tell you this , in the group camp you could drive up to the main area and only have to walk under 30 yards to get into that area other wise you will be walking from you tent/camper site anywheres from 50 to maybe 100 yards to get there. Same with the bathroom you can drive up or take a short walk. I'm not sure on the shore fishing but Scott , Art or Pete may beable to answer that.

Joe, so good to hear from you!  It sure would be nice if you could make this...everyone has missed ya!

There is a lot of shore fishing opportunities.  I'm not sure how much is handicap accessable.  That and hotels in the area I need to reaserch yet.  I won't get to that untl later...I need to heal from my surgery.

Ok folks, we have a problem...

I just got off the phone with the park ranger and because our group is so small (they checked past records) we are being bumped by a much larger group.  The next available date(s) are Oct. 13 to Oct 17.  That would suit us better for fishing but you need to let me know if this works for you, ASAP!  I reserved this time period for us but if it won't work I will need to cancel the reservation.  I asked about being bumped again and was told we are not to worry about that since we have been bumped once already...Geez!

So, this is it!  Take it or leave it...I still plan to go.
