i'll be heading out thursday morning fer the meet------ unless my step daughter has something ta say about it....... she is due any day now fer my 4th grandson.......

Another year come and gone, another AWESOME OHIO MEET !!!!!! We got there last Sunday and spent the entire week. Pete & Ed....It was great to see you guys there again. We had us one heck of a meet this year, I think we should have got us one more of them there "brown cows", boy was them good !!!!  Looking forward now to the Finger Lakes Meet, planning on bringing a whole bunch of members with me this time. Glad to see all who showed up and sorry some of ya's couldn't make it that said you were gonna be there you missed a doosie.....mabe next time. Have a good one everyone, looking forward to the pics from the Ohio Meet. BD |

It was a great meet! This was my first return since the very first meet. The organization was great and I was impressed with all the childrens activities! I guess there was about 20 children there? It is always a great time renewing friendships and making new ones...I will be busy writing my journal which I will post here and on the Ohio site. Stay well, friends! |

Here is one for ya Frank...............Monday morning : I had posted that I would be pulling out from home by 6am sooner if things went right...........Carol was going to wake me up at 5:15 am before she left for work..............I got up at 5am before her wake up call and started packing the cooler's (with Carol looking over my shoulder , I'm not sure why she would do that ) loaded up the truck. I went down to the barn hooked up the boat did a walk around locked up barn and headed down the drive-way at 5:30am.............I'm thinking good Pete was heading out at this time so I should be just a bit behind him when I pull into West Branch.....................well I get there about 12:20pm or so. Check in at the office , drop the boat at the over flow parking area and back truck in at the "A" group site staging area. Run into Amy and her son.........bs for a little bit then pick a possible site.................start unloading truck ( with there help THANKS) ............check time and figure Pete should be here.............Pete has a cell phone but keeps the number to him self and leaves it home when he's on a trip ?????? don't ask me !!!!!! ask him....................anyway I say the heck with it I'll set up in the spot I picked .................so with Amy's help I started putting the easy-up and then the tent..................Amy said knowing Pete he would show up as I was driving the last tent peg in.....................she was dead on.......................well Pete had read my post and figured he would leave later so he would get there about the same time............. ya that's a GOOD story Pete !!!!!!! and GREAT timing....................... |

One more while we wait for Pete..................I was down in the parking lot with S. Tom , and ffish going over how downriggers work and such. River walks by and said....." Ya know I don't know every thing about fish'n but my Daddy gave me a tip that may help ya out ".....me " What's that River".........River "Well he told me when your fish'n it always helps to have waterunder da boat " !!!!!!!!!! |
