that last post was very selfish of me.. lots of "I" in it. I should say that WE are bringing the van.. and that WE are very excited!! |

| I used to get to fish a whole lot more than as of late. But I still love it and long to become the hopeless addict that I once was able to be. |

A great time was had by those of us that made it out from Ohio. Glad to meet old friends as well as make new ones. Little Dog really had a blast and I'm sure he'll be able to remember it later on in life. As usual, the food at our meets is always great and we always have plenty of pie.SMF. Mrs.BD told me when I got home this afternoon that she won't miss the next one. Dave & Nancy, thanks again for letting us use your screen tent to place over our table. When I got home I remembered that I forgot to get that life preserver out of Ed's boat that you let us use for Little Dog. Mabe Ed can get it back to you before you head for home. Thanks Ed, and Thanks Nancy for letting us use it, I'm sorry that I forgot to get it out of the boat. Glad to meet you & Dave and the rest of ya's that we just met this year. We look forward to the next time that we can be there. BD |

Beautiful sunsets, Susan! Frank and I saw the "Fire in the Sky" one morning while fishing on Seneca...very rare! |

These are the lures that caught fish for me this year at the meet:

The top lure is a Rapala deep tail dancer. It caught a perch that was about the same size...lol! I used several other colors of this lure but with no success.
The second lure is a Rapala down deep husky jerk. The first time I used it I thought I had snagged bottom, but several large head shakes changed my mind! While Frank was clearing the other lines the split ring for the tail hook snapped and I never got to see the fish! Frank put the lines back in while I repaired the lure and then put it back out. A few minutes later I caught a 24" pickerel. After that we headed in for the day. Both of these lures were used on an overcast day with rain in the morning.
The third lure is a Rapala DT16 and this one caught me a 23" pickerel later in the day (I was experimenting with other lures). Sue, Frank's wife caught several fish on a silver DT16, but I'll let Frank supply the details! The sky was clear and sunny this day... We were trolling both days in about 30' to 18' of water... |

Nice pic's everyone. Celeste and little dog fishing is precious. To those of you who haven't been to a meet look at that pic. If it wasn't for the members of this club things like that would never happen. Not to mention all the other great friendships that have been made. Anyone that has been to the fingerlakes meet when I was there gets e-mails (if I have there e-mail) from me the are sent to fingerlakes family. And they are just that family. |

Home safe. Thanks to you all for makin' us welcome as newbees to the figer lakes meet. Denise is already talking about a full year licence for the next NE meet so we can do this one again too. Thanks especialy to Ed for the hard days fishing Sunday to put us on a few lakers and the first salmon Ive seen boated (even if it was a bitsy one...it was silver!!). The weeds mats were everywhere and he put in another day of huting for that cold patch that wasn't to be found. 62 degrees at 50 ft everywhere on that lake....and we covered quite a bit of it looking for a temp drop but it just wasn't to be a brown trout day. Long leading those deeper rigs is a tough hookup too. alot of slack got em to bite but I think I missed two not being able to get the line tight fast enough. Sat. we walked watkins glen then put in at Lodi point to fish the cove around the corner but no luck and with the meet meal on the books we diddn''t have much time to try. but we got out for a few and the water stayed calm enough for a nice few hours on the water trying. We'll be back next year. Thanks again everyone!!! We'll be thinkin of ya'll.

Glad to hear you and Denise had a great time Karl. I doubt I can make the Northeast meet next year so maybe we will see you at the finger lakes meet. |
