i do not take credit for this recipe. i just dust with corn meal before i fry them

    2 cups  flour
    3 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp  salt
    1 cup milk
oil to fry in  canola or peanut

sift dry ingredients. lightly stir in milk  add more flour as necessary to make a dough you can handle .
kneed and work the dough on a floured board with floured hands  until smooth.

pinch off fist sized chunk and form into a disk  flatten  the disk and dust it with  corn meal on each side before frying .

heat oil to aprox 375  and fry until golden brown on each side

if you fry more then one at a time  drop them in one at a time  so they don't get stuck together

pretty much just like frying fish
