It's only 16 degrees out there today, so I though it might be tough launching.. but I did catch a fish a couple of days ago.. I've been doing well on our local river when the weather allows.. Monday and Tuesday were really good. I let numerous big girls go while searching for limits of nice eater size walleye. With Tuesday nights rain, I knew it would be high and muddy Wednesday.. which it was. Fished for several hours before catching a fish, but finally boated a nice 18"er. Several hours later, with the wind driving me almost to the quiting point, I got another hit. This one felt substantial when I set the hook.. and it was. She taped at 32" long and 20" around and read 13#, 2oz. on a certified scale. I feel just a tad guilty for keeping her, but also feel that she was well past her spawning prime. Just had to get some pictures and a certified weight! Seems ironic, with all the big walleyes we get trolling the eastern basin of Erie, that my biggest comes from the Susquehanna.. five minutes from home! I'd post a pic., but it won't let me. Apparently the fish is so big that the file is to large to post! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Went out yesterday for a few hours with my son. We picked up about 22 trout between the 2 of us. 15 were on the small side. 2 were'nt to bad. 5 were C&E. No, not catch & release. Caught & Eaten. Anytime I get a trout over 1 3/4 pounds, it is C&E. Mmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!

Just a week ago we were out fly fishing in short sleeve shirts. Past few days we have had temps in the upper 30's to mid 40's. Some light dusting of snow. Nothing major. No ice at all on lakes or streams.

Did some hard water fishing over the week-end and did reel well on the gills. I caught a limit and we won't say how many Mossback caught! :O) Lucky for him they all go in the same fryer! Mrs Mossback |

Congrats on those two more but not the snow. Boy, I'd give anything to catch another steelie. Haven't tied into one of those since I moved from Duluth MN about 25 years ago. Sure miss that river fishin drifting those spawn bags. I hope you get a bunch more Bob. Have a good one and Happy New Year.
