With the new year upon us and many of us planning to fish tomorrow, one thing is often overlooked.  Don't forget to pick up your new license and tag for the year.  Oregon licensing is calendar year based, so Jan 1 is new license required.  In some years past, the computer system was overloaded and crashed at ODFW.  There was a grace period of a few days.  But that is not the case this year.  Last thing I want is to get ticketed for non-tagged fish.

Have a safe New Years Eve, don't drink and drive.

Or drive and drink.  Have a great New Years Dave.  Not worried about my fishing license yet.  Don't come due till April here. Take care and be safe.
