Great to hear you may be able to make one of these trips Nam <!--graemlin::cool:-->. Right now we're working on determining which part of the year (and which lake) is best for everyone so put in your preference. Keeping in mind of course that things can/will change. BTW....I'll be sending two of my baseball teams to Apple Valley this year to attend a couple VAA Tournaments. They will be there the May 11th weekend (12 yr. olds) and the May 18th weekend (15 yr. olds). I may make one of the trips with them and if I do, I'll let ya know and maybe we can meet somewhere (preferrably on the water <!--graemlin::D-->). |

WalleyeWayne, keep me posted on the baseball trip in May. I am right in the neighborhood. Around that time we'll go to one of my favorite crappie spots and get on some big slabs!

Originally posted by: turnip on 1/31/2007 10:58:01 AM Nam, this topic originally got started with a series of posts by Spoons&cranks, davessett2000 (hot for a musky bite), Wayne and Badger. Followed by Bob, Lazarus, myself and several others. I stated that Dave & I couldn't commit until 2009...thus to page 1 of this thread. We tried doing a PM to discuss this trip, but as time went on many wanted to join in, which made it impossible to keep the PM going...Thus, we have this thread.
So if you read from the begining you will get a feel for how we "morffed" (sp) to LOTW/Rainy! As Wayne stated, this thread will change over time, and will more than likely turn into two (2) trips!
So, anybody that is interested in either trip should continue to monitor this thread and submit any input you might have...Because we will GET'ER DONE! <!--graemlin::rolleyes:--> <!--graemlin::cool:--> <!--graemlin::D-->
PS Check out the LOTW thread in this same forum...I believe there you will find the "begining of this discussion!" <!--graemlin:;)--> |

Ya gotta admit my Bushwacker Brother that many folks are uneasy trying to plan for so "far out" of a time frame (2009) <!--graemlin::o--> But yet there are others of us that are quite comfortable doing just that <!--graemlin:;)--> And let's face it....there's SEVERAL of us itchin' to get together with ya whether it be on LOTW or Rainy <!--graemlin::D--> Only the many months ahead will we be able for ALL of us to finalize plans and actually get together <!--graemlin::)--> Keeping the thoughts open between us and the communication going will only make things work to the best <!--graemlin:;)--> |

So Wayne, how bout putin' dat link back up for the cottages ya had and Ray, that was a good link ya had for the LOTW lodge. That will give folks something to review...I wonder how the musky bite is at Rainy in Sept? <!--graemlin::rolleyes:--> <!--graemlin::D--> |
