Nothing, I mean Nothing, can compare to the Day I had today. My Buddy DaddyPickle couldn't fish today, so by 10:45 am I was on the water in My W500, Wave Walk kayak, paddling down to my favorite spots to fish this time of year. Temps were 45.6 degrees, slight breeze, misting to light rain. Air temps were 49 degrees, but I was warm as toast. Full rain gear, with just the right layers underneath!! I did throw a crank bait for just a bit, I can't put those things down now. Not even a bump after 20 cast, but thats okay, I only brought one with me. Switched over to my 8lb vanish, on my lite rod rigged with a dinger, then a grub, then a paddle tail, switching up as the day went on. If you weren't hitting bottom you weren't catching fish. I caught over 12 perch, and 22+ Smallies!!!!! Oh yeah and one rock bass!!! That biggest Smallie jumped three times, the first jump I almost pissed myself, and my new net saved the day many times!!!!! Can't wait for the next trip!! I'll let the pictures tell you the rest of the story.
