I am an Idaho boy who is crazy about his fishin but I know nothing about the fishin the ocean. I have plenty of gear light and Heavy. Any tips would be helpful. What to use, where to go, what kind of water to look for. I don't care what I catch. I release anyway just looking for a kick. Gonna be there around first week of August. Thanks for any help.

    Rippin
Lots of options at the coast. Charters for Tuna, Salmon, Bottom fish. Fishing off the jetties for Perch, Lingcod, other rock fish.
Fishing from the beaches or rocks for same as above. Lakes along 101 for Trout, Bass, Pan Fish. Rivers for Summer Steelhead, Coho Salmon, some Summer Chinook (selected rivers). Depends on just where you plan on being, boat or bank, etc. A little more detail and we can come up with some options I'm sure.
